Dapple's Home

Dot (renamed Dapple) is doing really well. Things were quite difficult when Ditto (renamed Tigger, Dapple's brother, adopted a few weeks after Dapple) passed away but we are all doing much better now.
Her eye still waters every now and then but the vitamins that the vet recently recommended seem to be working quite well and her eye looks a lot better.
She is such a good girl and doesn't fuss at all when I put her eye cream in....although that might be because she knows that she always gets a treat afterwards and she loves treats! She has also learnt to eat like a lady and she no longer gobbles her food down, I think she has finally relaxed and realises that there will always be food for her there, she will never have to go without.
She has so many toys and she loves them all...her favourites are a little grey mouse that squeeks and a little pink mouse that makes a rattling noise when you shake it....and she loves to play hide and seak with me in the house. Oh...how could I forget...she has a red laser toy that she is crazy about, that is her most favourite, she never gets sick of that!
The first day that we brought her, she ran and hid under the dining table and wouldn't come out. I remember lying on the bed in our room, thinking that maybe I had made a mistake and that maybe she hadn't chosen me (like the Cat Tails lady had said in PetSmart while she nuzzled my neck)...as I was thinking this she jumped up onto the bed and started rubbing her head against me...we were inseparable from that day on.
She is still mommy's little kitty and I get lots of hugs and kisses when I get home from work everyday and when I wake-up in the morning.
She follows me everywhere....even when I am in the shower she sits on the side of the bath behind the shower curtain...on the dry side of course. ;)
When we watch TV or movies, she comes and joins us on the couch....when I am checking my emails....she likes to sit on the keyboard or on my lap.
Her daddy is busy making her a indoor climbing tree so that she can climb to her little heart's desire, such a lucky girl! ;)
I thought you would like to see some pics (please find attached), I am sure you will agree that she has got so much bigger since the last time you saw her! :)
She is definately become a part of our family and we could not live without her.
Thanks for everything and Dapple sends her love to you all.
Yours sincerely,   Robyn & Leon  [3/23/2009]
