Millie's Home
Just wanted to give you a quick update on Millie and her new home.
As you said, she isn't afraid of anything. I tried to keep her separate from the other animals so they could slowly adjust. That didn't last long. She wanted to get out and explore every corner of the house. Now she just runs and runs and runs, from one room to the next, down the hallway and back again. Millie has no idea that she is 'special needs'!
When she got out of the carrier, Millie took over. Her new best friend and big sister is our dog, Tally. Millie introduced herself by walking straight up to Tally and met her nose to nose.Tally keeps a close eye on Millie and is already very protective. Millie's big cat brother accepted her right away. There was no hissing or fighting at all! They walk by each other and give kisses and ear licks - although he does give her some strange looks when she is in one of her spastic moods. And my husband fell in love with her too - I knew he would.
A big thanks to you and everyone at the Cat Tails group for all the great work you do with the animals. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful addition to our family.
Best wishes,
Beth Wilson [5/1/2008]
The latest good news - she got her feeding tube out on Friday! She had gained enough weight and been eating on her own so the vet thought it was time. The vet called her a 'plush' kitty. She's still on meds and will be for a long time but we are so happy that she got through this!!
You can see from the pictures that the girls at the vets office just love Millie to death. Every time she went in for a check up, she would get new bandages and they were always a new and pretty color. This time she ended up with a purple wrap and pink heart!! Another picture is Millie in her very own bed....she kept taking over the dog bed so I had to get her one for herself.
Thanks again for all that your group has done for us. Millie is a very special kitty and very lucky to have your support. We'll keep you updated on her in the future.

Here's one more picture. It was taken on my husband's cell phone so it's
not as good as the others but I love it - so I thought I would share!
Thanks again,

I don't have any recent pictures of Millie but I wanted to let you know that she is doing GREAT! She is all healed up and no longer on forced feedings, although she will remain on some meds for a long long time.
She's gained weight and is up to about 9 pounds now. And her spunk and personality are back. We are so happy that she is all better!!
Thanks!
